Citizens are asked to judge information about COVID-19 and make crucial decisions regarding how to respond. However, pervasive misinformation and pseudoscience exist regarding COVID-19. This can lead to public distrust in science, and exacerbates the personal and societal decision-making that places all of society at greater risk. These COVID-19 education materials promote both content understanding and foster trust in STEM professionals. Their knowledge plays a key role in improving personal and public decision-making regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and future pandemics.
